WHAT'S HOT TAMPA BAY
Join us this Thursday, April 15th for a Special Event from the folks at What's Hot Tampa Bay Magazine. They'll be holding a professional Magazine Photo Shoot at Z Grille that will feature models and guests. For a $10 donation that goes to the Children's Cancer Center, you could be part of the fun and maybe see yourself in an upcoming issue. Things kick off after 6, so dress to impress!
BACON AND BEER FOR BREAKFAST
We've recorded a radio spot in anticipation of the upcoming Rock & Roll Brunch at Z Grille, featuring 98 Rock and plenty of Evander Beer.

RIB-OFF COMPETITION
Well, Z Grille came out on top in this last round of Creative Loafing's Rib-Off. Quick Q BBQ put up a good fight, but all of your votes helped us pull it out in the end. Thank you.
Your work isn't over, however. We are now in the Edible Eight, up against Angry Pepper to determine the best ribs in South Pinellas. Stay vigilant and keep voting so we can show the Tampa Bay area whose ribs you love the most - ours! Voting for this round ends Monday morning at 10AM. Here's the link.
ZACK COOKS FOR BAY NEWS 9
In support of the American Lung Association and their upcoming St Petersburg Wine and Food Festival, Zack Gross took time recently to show the folks at Bay News 9 how to prepare his incredible Spicy Sambal Shrimp Wraps. Here's the link to check it out, complete with the recipe. For those who try them at home, be sure to stop by the Festival (or the restaurant) to compare your attempt with the original.
NEW MENU ITEMS
At Z Grille, we're always looking for ways to spice things up and in that vein, we're launching our new Dinner Menu beginning this Monday, February 1st.
You'll see some new salads, including our Avocado Salad served with a Brie Quesadilla, Grilled Herb Calamari with Greens and a fresh Pear and Arugula Salad. Starters will include out of this world house-made Jalapeno Poppers stuffed with Goat Cheese - sure to be a fan favorite. Vegetarians in the crowd will get additional entree options, including a Z Grille Stuffed Portabello Mushroom - rich and hearty enough to delight the hardcore carnivores as well (we swear you won't miss the bacon) and those in the mood for something that swims will love the new Seafood Extravaganza with loads of tender fresh fish, calamari, shrimp, scallops and clams in a cream sauce made with spicy andouille sausage.
Most exciting, though, may be the Z Grille Build-Your-Own Soft Taco Platter. You pick the filling (chicken, pork, shrimp, ground beef or our beer battered Baja fish) and we'll set you up with a platter of all the fixings to create a meal of tacos just the way you like them (however that is). Consider this your opportunity to break the "Don't Play with your Food" rule.
BLUE PLATE LUNCH
On the lookout for a lunchtime bargain and can't decide what you want to eat? Try the Z Grille Blue Plate Lunch. Served Monday to Friday, $7 gets you the Chef's Daily Lunch Special and your drink (soda or tea). This way you leave with both your belly and wallet full.
LAGUNITAS BEER BLOWOUT
This Tuesday, February 2nd, Z Grille will host a Lagunitas Beer Tasting with Ron Lindenbush of the Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma, California. Ron will be stopping by and bringing with him cases of some very special beer:
1 - Lagunitas Pils - a crisp czech-style pilsner with great balance of hop and malt that is extremely refreshing and easy-drinking.
2 - IPA - a true India Pale Ale and their flagship beer, this copper-colored IPA has an above average, juicy hop. An all-around great beer.
3 - Cappuccino Stout - a deep, dark brew that really tastes like a cappuccino.
4 - Barrel-Aged Brown Shugga' - an extremely rare brew found only at their California Brewery, has strong flavors of bourbon and caramel. You don't want to miss this one!
Those in attendance will enjoy these great beers paired with some special dishes from the Z Grille kitchen. Tickets for the event are $25. Festivities kick off at 5 pm and will go until all the beer is gone!
ZACK ON THE RADIO
Be sure to tune your radios to the Ron and Ian Show on The Sports Animal 620 WDAE next Wednesday, February 3rd to hear Z Grille's own Zack Gross spend a couple of hours talking with them about food (and a whole lot more). We'll see how many times they have to bleep him.
AND ANOTHER THING...
All you sangria drinkers out there (you know who you are) will be happy to hear that Z Grille now offers glasses and pitchers of house-made white sangria in addition to our red.
Lastly, we've added some new wines to our already substantial list, including a house Pinot Grigio and Cabernet from Coastal Vines of Sonoma Valley, a 2008 Rombauer Chardonnay and bottles of the 2005 Chalk Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. We're offering the Chalk Hill Cab, found elsewhere for $90-$100 a bottle, for only $65 a bottle (and of course, for half that on Mondays)! You'd be downright foolish to pass up that deal...
